Meghan Markle Flying to Geneva to Lecture About Bullying Is Absolutely Unhinged

(Page Six)
Meghan Markle attended the unveiling of the Lost Screen Memorial in Geneva and delivered a speech about the dangers of online bullying. The event focused on raising awareness around the harms of social media harassment.

Meghan Markle flew to Geneva, Switzerland to give a speech about the dangers of online bullying and I just need a minute with this.

Not because online bullying isn’t real. It is. It’s bad. Fine.

But this is the woman who sat down with Oprah in a primetime special watched by approximately one billion people and methodically dismantled an entire family on television, then got a Netflix deal out of it, then did a podcast, then wrote more stuff, then kept going. The content never stops.

That is a BOLD person to be unveiling a memorial about the harms of public attacks.

I’m not even that mad about it honestly. The confidence required to pull this off is genuinely impressive. You have to respect the audacity on a technical level. Most people would feel some low-grade awkwardness standing at a podium about this specific topic. Not Meghan. She flew to Switzerland. She gave a POWERFUL speech. Page Six called it powerful, not me.

The lost screen memorial is presumably honoring people who were actually destroyed by online harassment which makes this whole thing even wilder to think about for more than four seconds.

Alas, the calendar is what the calendar is.
